Deleting your data and account

This page explains how people who signed in with a Google account and used sync in Poppin (the Android app and the browser version), provided by Poppin Studio, can delete their account and the data stored on our server.

How to delete

Do either of the following.

1. In the Android app: on the deck list, tap the sync button at the top right, then "Delete cloud data". Confirm with "Delete" and everything is deleted at once.
2. In a browser: open https://web.poppin-studio.com , sign in with the same Google account, then use the sync button at the top right of the deck list → "Delete cloud data". This works even if you no longer have the app.

If you cannot use either (for example, you can no longer sign in to the Google account), contact us at the address below.

What is deleted

• The decks, cards, card types, pictures, sounds, study records and statistics stored on the server
• The earlier versions kept for 30 days so that a mistaken overwrite or deletion can be undone
• Your account information (the Google account ID and email address)
• The browser version's sign-in keys (every browser is signed out)

Deletion cannot be undone. The device you used is signed out afterwards.

What is not deleted

• The decks and cards on your device or in your browser. Uninstall the app to remove them; in the browser version, signing out removes them.
• Decks on another device that is still signed in. That device saves its decks to the server again at its next sync. To delete everything, sign out on your other devices first.
• Usage data and feedback (both stored apart from your decks). To have them deleted, contact us at the address below.
• Backups an earlier version saved in Google Drive. Remove them in Android Settings → Google → "Data from apps".

Automatic deletion

Data on the server that has not been used while signed in for 6 months may be deleted without notice. The decks on your device stay, and are saved again the next time you sign in and sync. See the privacy policy for details.
